Results are read against DSM-5 criteria. - Counselling: individual and adolescent counselling (CBT, DBT and other approaches), family counselling, and parent counselling and guidance. - Therapies: speech and language therapy, occupational therapy and sensory integration, play therapy, and social skills training. - Remedial and special education: individualized learning plans, school accommodations and exam concessions where eligible, and functional and life skills work. - Medical management: psychiatric evaluation and medication management, with frequent follow-up at first and regular reviews after. ## Conditions commonly seen Detail: https://www.indlaschildwellness.com/conditions ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, learning disability (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia), speech and language delay, intellectual disability, anxiety and depression, behavioural and emotional regulation difficulties, and adolescent/school-related concerns. Parents usually arrive describing what they notice rather than a diagnosis, and assessment starts from there: - "Can't sit still, loses things, interrupts" — assessed for ADHD; usually addressed with medical management, behavioural therapy and occupational therapy. - "Avoids eye contact, rigid routines, repeats patterns, sensitive to sound or texture" — assessed for autism; usually addressed with speech therapy, occupational therapy and sensory integration, and social skills training. - "Bright and trying hard, but reading, writing or maths stays behind" — assessed for learning disability; usually addressed with remedial education and school accommodations. - "Not talking yet" or unclear speech — assessed for speech and language delay; addressed with speech and language therapy. - Persistent worry, low mood, anger or exam stress — assessed with mood and anxiety scales; addressed with counselling, and medication only where clearly indicated. ## Common questions **How does ICGC decide what a child needs?** After an initial evaluation. Structured testing fills in what a single conversation can't, and results are read against DSM-5 criteria. **Will my child be put on medication?** Not by default. The first step is always a thorough evaluation, not a prescription. Medication is suggested only when it is genuinely likely to help, almost always alongside therapy, at the lowest dose for the shortest time that does the job, with growth monitored throughout. **Is remedial education just extra tuition?** No. Tuition repeats the same method more times; remedial education changes the method to match how the child learns. **Do you work with parents too?** Yes — counselling works at three levels: the child, the family, and the parents themselves. **Do all centres offer the same services?** Yes, every centre follows the same integrated model. **What ages does ICGC see?** Children and adolescents aged 2-18. ## Next step / who to contact Families can send an enquiry from any page of the site (name, phone, child's age, reason and preferred centre), or contact a centre directly using the Call, WhatsApp and Directions buttons on that centre's card on the Locations page. If a parent names a city, point them to that centre's phone number above; if they are unsure, point them to the enquiry form — a first conversation is enough to decide the next step.
